I need to ask you a few questions.

  • Do you want the typically larger bodied DSLR or a usually compact Mirrorless camera system?
  • Is having the ability to record good video important, or are you mainly going to use it for stills photography?
  • What accessories do you already own?  (Lenses, tripod, filters, etc.)
  • Do you want 35mm full frame or cropped sensor?

A normal sized not a compact

1080p is enough and i have a dedicated camera for video no need for it that much on the slr.

I have a good tripod. Lense on my old Sony Alpha 55.

Im not that professional at photographing so don't know what you mean with that 35mm thingy

No need.

OK at the moment, for DSLR size cameras, you have 3 main choices that I would recommend, bodies only.  All just below your maximum price range.

  1. Sony Alpha A77 II (compatible with lenses from your A55)
  2. Canon 70D
  3. Nikon D7200

Those are good choices but I think you can even get a Canon 7D if you like depending what you are planning to shoot with the camera.

Normal day to day photography i'll be getting a 16-300mm lens or something like that for it.

way too much information missing with ambiguity in your descriptions about use. But I'll bite and suggest the following.

A77 II for lens compatibility for Fast AF and good frame rates.

A7 II for full frame and light weight and incredible image quality (used market will be around 1000 euro) - a 250 euro adapter can allow you to use your alpha glass as well

If you want a DSLR that is a workhorse consider the 7D Mk II refurbished for around your price point. I use one professionally and it's a true beast. But my carry all around camera is a light weight sony A7R FWIW.

More like a normal A7, A7 II is way out of his price range.

A7II can be had in the states for 1150-1250 USD like new. In euro's its just beyond the limit of 1k, but within grasp if the OP truly wants the quality.
