A little more of an explanation might help people help you ;)

?

alroght so I turned on my tv it's hooked up to my mother board via hdmi all the lights indicating something wrong are off. Now I'm just waiting for something to come onto the screen, or in other words for it to send something to the tv to display. But it hasn't happened yet. My question is do I need to wait for something to send to the TV or do I need to start by putting the motherboard driver installation disk in the optical drive?

What is the TV's "input source" ?

If you have a dedicated GPU(Nvidia/AMD card), you need to plug the HDMI cable to it, not the motherboard's.

Make sure the input of the TV is correctly set to HDMI (and if it has multiple HDMI sources, make sure to select the right one)

If you still don't see anything, when you power the machine, does it make any beeping sound? It should, normally, make a single "beep" on startup.

Is the screen black the whole time, or does it display the bios/POST information on boot and then blackscreen where windows should've loaded?

Please explain better.

i do have a dedicated gpu and the hdmi cable wasn't going in so I didn't do much more trying on that, I'll try again. And no it's not making a beeping noise. I didn't hook up anything to make sound so that might be why unless the motherboard has something on it.

im not seeing anything on the screen right now and my system is running and it's working fine. How long do I have to wait for it to show something on my screen? Or does it even do that? I haven't installed the drivers or anything yet

If it's not showing up on your screen, it probably isn't working fine lol.

Are you putting it in the display port port?

Can you send a picture of what you're trying to do?

Well keep trying... Because unless you remove that GPU, it ain't gonna work with the Onboard. You NEED to plug the cable in the graphic card itself.

How do I mark this as solved?

there should be an option to Mark as Solved on someone's post, near the Quote/like/report on the right side.

LMFAO i had so much fun reading this. Thank you for this entertaining post. I almost thought it was fake.
