As my member status indicates I'm a newb, so this might be a rather simple question. I use a 500gb external hard drive for school files, games, and other things. I was wondering if I could partition the drive into a few OS Bootable drives. Such as setting 450gb partition for my files then like 9x 5gb partions for various OSs (ubunutu, mint 32 bit, fedora, tails, ect). Once partitioned would I be able to format individual partitions?

The reasons I'm wanting to do this is because (in regards to ubunutu and mint) I work on several computers that are very outdated or for older people and I use these OSs, I'd prefer not to carrier around several drives or disk. I also use tails and Dereks Boot and nuke. Also...why not? Thank y'all
