I currently have a 49u rackmount. It has 4 140mm fans at the top but besides that there is no airflow ( as far as i know)

Any suggestions? How are the machines getting enough air for intake?

I left the back door off.. The two side panels are on and the front door is closed.

Well, considering most rack mounts are in data centres with their massive air conditioning, you're really out of luck unless you have a way to pump air in and out of that room.

Take off the side panels and have a circulating fan push the air around.
