Hello,

I believe this is my first topic so yay!

Basically my most recent job is within the live production industry where i often work with audio mixing boards and one of my favorite functions is to choose which input goes to which output, as well as how much of it. I would like this similar function for my PC. Currently some software (games mostly) can let you choose an output device for the audio and that works well. However for the others it seems to follow a built in hierarchy (1/8" 2.1 > USB headphones > HDMI to my monitor speakers).

Any help is great :) thanks!

If you'd like something more complex such as the ability to send the output from one application to the input of another (ie, route music from iTunes to the mic-in for Skype) checkout Virtual Audio Cable http://software.muzychenko.net/eng/vac.htm.
