Hi Hi

Looking forward to get my machine better, it may be time to upgrade my sound quality...

First of all my pc specs :

I really do hate the onboard realtek thing on my motherboard... tried it , hated it.

I am not an audiophile so i will just say compared to my old X-Fi , the sound is flat and totally lack of impact.

My actual X-FI works fine but is getting old and i don't like creative support and software.

Anyway the software support for this card ended last month.

So i got a simple question

How is the Asus Xonar U7 and DAC in general ?

On the paper it seems like very nice but i am talking more about , bugs , drivers issue , your feeling about it ?

Is it a good solution to move away from my X-Fi ? Is it "better" ?

In order  i will use it for

1 : Music (Some CD but mostly "HQ" Online like deezer

2 : Gaming (not so much fps )

3 : Movies (Blueray)

Thanks for your help !

I wish i could oc my body, during winter overheating would be great.

I'm supposedly a person on the Internet, but you'll never know if I'm human or not ;)

The Fiio E10K seems to be a really nice product perfectly what i am looking for, plug and play , noob ready !

No drivers.. found some test that says it's good, that price... it's sexy.

Is it ok for every style of music ?

Is my headset good enought for it ? ( QPad QH85)

Yeah i know it's not like a super crazy headset but my Seinheiser PC350 died Q.Q

issue is the microphone... i will have to use onboard realtek for mumble / skype ect ?

Only works for trap, I've heard. No microphone support. Nothing has microphone support except for interfaces and soundcards, or onboard.

So it will be like , use onboard realtek or the x-fi for my mic and the DAC for the Headset...

Easy to do with my headset , i have cables to do this that comes with.

No idea about dac with mic + headphone like the U7  does ?
