Blower Style GPUs Worthi it?

Ok so i have an strix 970 in my build rigth now, i want a reference 970 for the LEDs but im not sure about the temps.

Is there an aftermarket 970 with side LEDs, and are reference GPUs worth it?

The Zotac AMP! Extreme and Gigabyte G1 models have side LEDs. The G1 has a blue LED WindForce logo while the Zotac card has RGB LEDs in the translucent bits. Reference cards can get pretty warm if you have a system that is not well suited for one and if you don't have an aggressive fan curve, so I'd suggest you go with the G1 or the AMP! Extreme.

The standard WindForce card does not, however you're correct on the G1.

A reference model of the 970 doesn't exist.

A few companys make cooler designs that look like reference models, but they aren't, so they also don't have the LEDs that you get with the 980, 980Ti and Titan X.

Your best bet is the Gigabyte Windforce (Only the G1 Gaming). It has blue LEDs on the side, which you can control via the NVidia control panel. (At least on the 980)
