The witcher 3 problems

Well i just bought the witcher 3 game i started to play it but it wont auto save or manually save, i reached the griffin part the the thing killed me and i got asked to return to the main menu, not even if i wanted to continue, i went back to the menu, and there's only 1 option to start new game, wont let me to continue where i left. pls help

The Griffin and the cart?  That's basically the first thing you see in the game, probably hasn't even gotten to a part where saves are needed

Saving in the witcher 3 takes like a second. But if it doesn't work I recommend reinstalling. Also, make sure you're running patch 1.11.
