I'm looking to buy a 3D printer. Ive seen/used a nice one by a company called PolyPrinter (229 model). They have one with an extra large base that seems nice, problem is this stuff is EXPENSIVE. What printers do you guys have? Ive heard of a company called Wanhao that has  a $400 (USD) printer that supposed to be pretty good as well.

Russian makes a good point about the $800 thing, I would argue more like $1200+ to get a quality printer. I have been burned by a cheap printer before, but since then I have learned. If you can save up for a while, get an Ultimaker 2. If $2500 is too much to swallow, then get an Ultimaker Original+, (or, the route I took and recommend for maintenance) get the Ultimaker Original (uses original electronics, and no heated bed) for about $1300. If you that kind of saving isn't an option, then the Simple Metal from Printrbot (yes I spelled that right) is the way to go.

You can buy all the printers I mentioned on Ultimaker's partnered re-seller sight, here. Good luck.
