If you are looking for a program to run on Linux, Kodi seems to work in my setup running on Ubuntu and a Q6600 + GT 520 combo...  I'm not sure how it would do on the Pentium, but it might not be too bad.  They are all free though :)

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

The Xeon E3 1231 V3 IS BETTER Than the Core i5 4690K and a Significantly better value for the non-overclockers or value shoppers.

whats a good version of linux to run on a pentium 4 2.4 ghz 1gb ram for netflix, youtube. What Linux os do you suggest?

@Frick I think that Ubuntu would be way to hard to run on your pentium 4 as I had an XP machine with a pentium 4 and it was slow as fuck. Just test them out.

My i5 6500 is bad and can't even maintain 4.5ghz, and 4.4ghz causes it to slowly become unstable over weeks with a vcore of 1.395. FML
