Question about Virtual Audio Cable

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone knows if I can get a certain functionality out of VAC. What I have are two headsets I want to use for different purposes. One is wired (and has better audio for gaming and a better mic) and one is wireless (has worse audio for gaming, but better for music and I like to lie down at night/sleep with music playing). Enough about the backstory now.

I want to know if I plug in my wired, USB headset, and plug in my wireless headset (it will be via analog, as I can use multiple methods of plugging it in) if I can use VAC to get the same audio playing through them both at the same time, except louder on the wireless headset feed. The wired one needs to sit at 50% windows volume, and the wireless one needs to sit at 100% windows volume.

This way, I don't need to restart all my programs and change my preferred device in Windows multiple times a day, and I can get the better headset for gaming audio and the worse headset (but better for music) for when I actually want to be wireless/listening to music/etc.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

I'll reply to you so you don't feel alone, but I'm not into audio :/

How about you grab yourself VB-Cable and try it?

It's free, it's great.

Sadly I can't test it myself right now since "my" only computers that has windows installed right now doesn't actually belong to me.

Honestly, it wasn't really a high priority and I wasn't up to doing any tinkering lately, so I decided to ask on forums first before I gave the tinkering a try.

But I guess I'll get around to trying it eventually.

I mean, I'm sure it's doable.

Hey! New SIgnature!

I'm supposedly a person on the Internet, but you'll never know if I'm human or not ;)
