Hello everyone and welcome to my build log. I spent yesterday shopping around and ordering some parts and planning out my build. I order the Bitfenix Prodigy in white and will be doing a blue and white themed arc reactor style build. I received the case today which was mind blowing because I ordered it at like 3pm yesterday afternoon, props to amazon prime! Anyways it showed up and I got to work tearing it down for the start of the project. I'll be posting more pictures when the rads and fans come in.

Striped down just have to get different feet for the bottom to provide airflow for the bottom of the case.

I will be cutting the back plate of the front panel and will be replacing it with a mesh cover to provide better airflow to the case and the front rad. I will then be adding an acrylic front panel with stand offs. It will be an 8mm piece with frosted sky blue inserts in the holes. I'll have a ring created to run UV LEDs on the back to have the glowing effect of the arc reactor. Ill be going to a laser cutter this week and hopefully have the pieces done and the front together by the end of the week.

I will also have two full clear side panels so I have to relocate the side IO. I will be trying to cut the switch part of the IO and running it to the left side of the back exhaust fan. With the IO being in the back I won't need the two extra usb 3s and the activity lights won't really be needed

Stay tuned there will be more coming as parts come in. Thanks everyone!

11/12/2015 UPDATE!

So its been a little bit but I have been trying to figure out how to mount the 280 rad to the top of the case. It took some finagling but I figured it out.

Mocking up the hole to cut for the rad to sit inside

post-270815-0-94085800-1447392951_thumb.

I used an angle grinder to make the cuts and finished up with a Dremel. Not perfect cuts but they work because the shroud will cover it up.

The shroud was a b because the holes didn't match up perfectly with the rad. So I had to make offset holes in the rad mounting plate to line up with the shroud. All in all it worked out perfect and I am happy with the way the product turned out. I will have more once I get some more parts in. Next will be graphics card and cpu so nothing too interesting. Thanks for stopping by

Thanks guys for the follows. I didn't go with a 390 bc I couldn't find a water block for the card. I like the ones from EK and they have one for the 970. The reason why things are at zero is because I already bought them. I should have put a different version with the whole price on there. My apologies.

Did a little work on the front panel and it turned out pretty good. I just need to get some dust covering ordered. What is the best brand that you guys would recommend? I am thinking about buying this.

I sent EK an email asking if the 290x will fit on a 390. It says it fits on a 390x but that's a different class of a card from my research. Ill let you guys know what they say.

The only difference between 390 and 390x is an x and more stream processors.. Therefore a bit more heat (afaik/iirc)

What happened to 390/380 reference designs? I think they look fabulous :P

Well that was absolutely the least helpful thing ever haha. They told me to check their configuration page. Does anyone have experience putting one of their blocks on a 390? I've never done it and don't want to get parts that don't work. That's the biggest reason I went with a 970 is bc they have the parts specific for that card.
