You should get a new motherboard when you upgrade to an i5-4690k, simply because H81 isn't recommended for overclocking.

But then again you could also upgrade to an i5-6600k and a Z170 board with DDR3.

There are adapters to turn USB 3.0 into USB 2.0. That way you can connect it at least with USB 2.0 speeds:

windowed will be nice :D

If your getting a windowed case, pick up a Cryorig H7 over the 212 EVO, as it is shorter, cools better, looks nicer and is quieter for ~5$ more. Also, that PSU is far from overkill, and will work great.

Elite 431 Plus

and if your not going to overclock make sure its not a K skew

yes, i know that. i am considering OCing but i think im a bit not too confident to do it.

so i guess this mobo and cpu i bought will be my training ground to OCing? xD

the elite 431 plus is nice btw.

Yes, a 4690 is still a great CPU. But if the unlocked version isn't that much more expensive, I would get the unlocked one, simply because it delivers a 0.4Ghz higher clockspeed at stock speeds.
