Today I built myself my first gaming rig.

Specs: https://azerty.nl/winkelmandje/winkelmandje/?legen=1&product%5B528532%5D=1&product%5B683472%5D=1&product%5B688141%5D=1&product%5B635920%5D=1&product%5B834177%5D=1&product%5B692496%5D=1&product%5B635005%5D=1&product%5B739755%5D=1&product%5B827192%5D=1

When I finally finished building I noticed problems. The system would power on, and I could connect to the BIOS and the system would shut off after a few seconds.

Then I changed the 2x4pin CPU power connectors to 1x8pin and it started working.

Then I carried my rig upstairs to install windows.

Now when I turn the system on nothing happens. No fans spin, not even the case fans which are not connected in any way to the motherboard (molex cable).

Now I'm desperate. I think I have a faulty power supply because the case fans do not spin, or maybe I connected the power switch headers the wrong way?

Help?

Nope

Only HDMI and power cable to PSU

Not labelled. But AFAIK the PSU only has 2x6+pin for GPU

I meant the cables inside the case.  Check there.  Also, is the PSU switch switched to on?

Nothing unplugged, only side panels. PSU is switched to on. Nothing happens.

If that's your suspicion, test the power supply:

Disconnect it from everything in your case.

Then google, "psu test" so that you can learn which pins to short.  When the PSU is plugged into the wall and the power switch is on, when you short those pins, the power supply should turn on and the fan should spin.  If it doesn't, the power supply is dead.

(EVGA includes a plug with new power supplies for this exact purpose.)

PSU worked

I'm now on my new pc, I installed the front panel headers the wrong way. I'm good now, but thanks!
