w10 question

Hi everyone,

 

I have installed w10 on my pc using the free install that my w8.1 gave me, but what if I want to format my pc. Do i have to install w8.1 again to get w10?? or can I used my current w8.1 licence to get directly w10.??

You can just install Windows 10 from a USB stick after a format.

If I'm not wrong, you should be able to download the ISO from microsoft website with your key, which you can find in settings

You can install any windows 8 or 7 to get back to win10

If by 'format' your PC you mean Reset, then yes. You can reset it within Windows 10 and keep the license validated. If you wanted to be even more secure (but it'll take more time) you can revert your PC back to Windows 8.1, reset it from there and install Windows 10 again.

 

Either way...
