Game Capture Idea

I did a post on this last year, but I would like to know if this would work. All my consoles (PS2, PS3, PS4, 360 and XB ONE) are connected to my AV Receiver, which has 2 HDMI Outputs, labelled "Main" and "Sub". I would like to use the "Sub" output for game capture. This diagram is what I have in mind.

 

The HDMI spliter would in theory bypass the HDCP, providing I get the correct one. Also, HDMI "Sub" would also carry audio (as if it was coming from the TV speakers).

So, would this work for capturing gameplay?

Seems kind of complex if you're going to have to buy a capture card anyway?

I suppose it's because I don't want to constantly unplug and plug back in HDMI cables from console to console. If this method does work, I'm in business (or so they say)!!
