Does PS4 record 60fps at 720p

OAcesync
Go to solution Solved by Atmos,

Rofl, not by itself no. you'll need a capture card to maintain your fps in game. hell, the thing can't run a lot of titles at 1080p 60fps, and that's about as stressful as trying to record at 720p

Until I can get my PVR I need to know whether the PS4 can record like 60fps at 720p like most old PVRs?

Yeah I thought as much, I thought it possilbly could since it can do 30fps at 1080p

yea, its not really great hardware.

720p is only a little bit easier to run than 1080p, and recording puts a lot of stress onto the igpu of the ps4. Basically, if it can run the game at 60fps on 1080p, then it can run 720p recording at about 60fps.

Ps4s recording is similar to shadow play, using inboard hardware, no performance loss

It is at 720 30hz for bandwidth and data size concerns
