I hope this counts as troubleshooting...

Pls hep me. I want to buy a prebuilt PC. The million dollar question is what should I buy?

I want something with a mid to low-end dedicated GPU (I want it to run Cities: Skylines at a decent framerate on medium settings.)

I would preferability like a desktop, and AMD parts if possible. I have around $800 dollars to spend.

Thank you all very much.

I'd reccomend building your own, it seems daunting; but it really is not.

Why do you want amd? I can see their gpus being a must have now a days, but their cpus are not worth it. Also your better off building you own.

I somehow don't think asking what PC to buy should be in the troubleshooting section. In my eyes this section is for if there is a legitimate issue with your PC or other device such as a mobile phone. Let's say your graphics card spontaneously combusted, then we would suggest ways to fix that issue (not that it would be able to be recovered but you get the point). Anyway, Cities Skylines is a very CPU intensive game as one of LinusTechTips' videos highlighted but that's not to say go out and buy an I7 and an Nvidia Gt 610. Also, don't buy a pre-built PC. Sure they offer the convenience of not having to build it yourself, but they often give you a build which delivers lower performance than if you bought parts yourself and built it yourself too.

Cities Skylines can take advantage of a very powerful processor and still struggle (see the LTT video about how many cores matter).

For that reason, and just that AMD CPU's are generally inferior at the moment, I would recommend an Intel CPU at least, but you could go Radeon for the GPU (in fact, for price/performance, I would recommend it).

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.
