Droid Maxx problems

A couple months ago i got another Droid Maxx after i dropped my old one in a lake. It worked and ran just like my old one until today. This morning my phone was fully charged when i left for school but over the course of the day i noticed that my battery was draining much quicker even though I wasn't using my phone more than usual. The only thing that I did differently was that I wouldn't think would have an affect on the battery life was resting my cached data the night before. Could clearing the cached data really have had such an adverse affect on my battery life? also, I'm assuming that clearing the cached data would also affect loading times on things like snapchat and the google play store.

Have you installed any new apps?

Or left snapchat up? It drains my battery if i leave it up when phone is locked!

No my snapchat won't even load stories or snaps that have been sent to me., and i have only installed a handful of apps maybe 10 which is less than I had on my old phone.
