Hi guys, I've had low fps for a while before the update caused low fps for other people.

Important specs:

i5 4690k (not overclocked at 3.5ghz btw)

G1 970, G1 970 sli

212 Evo cooler

4:3 res at 1280x1024 or 1440x1080

144hz, sometimes I'll use lightboost at 120hz

I try to play on high graphics settings and I get frame drops and stuttering, I have to limit my fps to my refresh rate which is 144hz but even then it will have stuttering. Should I overclock again to 4.0-4.2 ghz like before? I am currently playing on the lowest possible graphics settings which I should not be doing on this type of build on 4:3..

Try disabling SLI for CS:GO and see if that helps. You could also download MSI Afterburner and turn on the monitoring to see which component in your system is creating the bottleneck. If I recall correctly, Source can't fully utilize 4 cores.

Main PC: i5 4590 @ 3.5 GHz ♦ RX 480 Armor OC ♦ 16 GB DDR3 ♦ GA-Z97-HD3 ♦ 120 GB 840 EVO ♦ 120 GB Intel 520 ♦ W10 Home

Scrapyard PC: Xeon X5460 @ 3.8 GHz ♦ HD 7870 ♦ 8 GB DDR2 ♦ GA-P35-DS3L ♦ 80 GB Intel 320 ♦ 160 GB WD Caviar SE ♦ W10 Home

But how come lower end builds can get 200-300+ fps and mine can't?

I'm not sure...I can pull around 300 FPS on my system. I would recommend using MSI Afterburner to see if your hardware is being fully utilized.

Possibly a network issue? What's your up/down speed and ping?

I have the higher end comcast package, so 100mbps (usually get 50-100) download, 12 upload, 10-20 ping, wifi connection with 3 antennas.

Can't be the wifi if the fps improves when I overclocked it before.
