I only pay 300 for the reference is why i put it there. i dont get a discount on the others but if they are that much better ill look into it. i wanna do an ssd for my operating system and a HDD for mass storage but dont know how to seperate the 2 so that my games go to my HDD not my ssd. and im a noob what is a b2,g2,gs?

After market cards are a lot better. I like EVGA because of their very good warranty, they cover my GPUs even though I custom painted them. Cooling is a lot better and they also look a lot better. As for the separating games. On steam when you download it, it gives you an option to change the download drive. In Origin you have to go to your settings and change the drive that it downloads to, same for chrome.

OHHH ok ive heard not to get corsair power supplies is that true?

Depends what ones. DO NOT get the one I have, terrible. My PC turns off by itself and appearently has a heat issue. The RM ones are good though and I just ordered one, but it will cost about double the price. Also, my friend has an EVGA 600B and it caught fire so I wouldn't go with that either @JebKerman

the CX (and CS to a lesser extent) seires should be avoided at all costs, certainly once the builds reach this "caliber". the RM(no "i") series are good, but not the best, the rest a great. but all are usually overpriced, with EVGA equivalents coming in cheaper, but not worse.

there's a big difference between the quality of the EVGA "B" units and "B2" units.

I think that one's good as well, it just lacks the corsair link features of the i variant. I think they are the same otherwise, based off a seasoninc OEM iirc, so you should be fine. The RM series wasn't bad to begin with though, it's mostly just that EVGA did/does it better, cheaper.

kind of related to power supplies. i have seen rgb lighting for cases and it says you need a molex connector from your power supply or something. where is that on the power supply?

Cables come with it.

well this is what's called a "modular" power supply, meaning the PSU comes as a unit, but none of the cables are plugged in at first, so you only plug in what is needed, It comes with molex connectors, just follow the manual and it will be made clear.

i see you have sli 970. how would triple monitor gaming be for me with 1 970? and for a case should i go cheap with the s340 or spend more and get a h440 or a 750d?

Honestly I like the s340 better than the H440. S340 is fine. Also a single 970 is enough to run 3 monitors, but it might be a stretch for surround gaming, games on low-med that are intense, like BF4 or Star Wars Battlefront. SLI would be great though in the future.

Also, if you don't mind spending another $100 on something just to make it look better I would pick up something like this. http://www.performance-pcs.com/cablemod-b-series-sp-cable-kit-red.html  I just picked them up to make my build look better.

how many 970's do i need to do triple monitors and 1080p 60fps?

I run 2 970s on 1440p and get 100 FPS on BF4 ultra settings. I think you would be fine with 1 for now. And remember I have 4 monitors running at all times.
