My friende need a new laptope fore skole but he woulde like to be able to play some games on it as well

he have 1100 USD to spend

Is he bringing it to school? Preferred size? Is portability an issue? What kind of games?

Macbook air? acer s7? not bad options if you are going the ultrabook route.

The lenovo Y510p might be a good option. It has a 15.6 1080p screen, with an i7 and GT750m. It won't run the most demanding games at max settings, but your friend could easily play most games on medium/high settings, with more demanding games on lower settings.

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems
