My new laptop has a 24gb msata ssd int, it is a lenovo u410. It doesn't store anything on it stock and i'm pretty sure it's too small to make a boot drive. What can I do with it to make it faster. I don't think it supports intels caching, but if it does how could i do that. I may end up buying a bigger msata drive and making it a boot drive.

I dont think thats made to be a real ssd. I think thats more of a hybrid drive thing.

Smaller SSDs are included with notebooks/netbooks specifically for the purpose of caching. I think Intel Smart Response Technology is the software to use for SSD caching. Here's how to set it up: http://www.pcworld.com/article/248828/how_to_setup_intel_smart_response_ssd_caching_technology.html
