i have a build sorta made out already and just asking for advice on this list and any changes that will make it better and still be between my price range and will last me a few years, And i can't seem to choose the right PSU for my build anyone help me with this?

for gaming you only need a 4670k and 8gb of ram also you could get a cheaper mobo like the gd65 from msi, dont get an 800d its so unnecessary I'll put a build together give me a second :)

PSU is a bit too small, I recommend the Corsair GS700 or 800

PC Specs:  2x GTX 550 ti in SLI - Intel i7 2600k @ 3.4Ghz - Thermaltake Overseer Case - 8 GB Corsair Vengeance Ram - 1TB Harddrive - 500 Watt PSU that came with my old prebuilt pc lawl -  ASUS P8P67 EVO

managed to fit a second 780 in the budget however you should only get one unless you game at a resolution above 1080p if now get one 780 and buy a 2560x1440p monitor too like this for example

Dual GPU.

i5 plenty for gaming

8gb of RAM plenty for gaming

Better PSU

MSI Gaming Series Mobo

Better SSD

I'd go for that ^^

Dual GPU from the start?

You drunk?

In a 2500k budget no point in buying crappy overpriced SSD and so on, rathe rbuy dual GPU. Really a monkey can set that up, the drivers make it fairly easy ^^

You now have a black and red color scheme, and about $250 left over. I know this is still overkill, but I wanted to stick true to what the OP chose, and I also think that even though an i5 does give the same gaming performance as an i7, it never hurts to have one. At the end of the day, he can use this one at the same time as his rendering machine so that he can render twice as fast. I hope that's possible. Meh.

Also, here is a diagram of the cooling setup in a 800D, and how it is best setup.

I envy the shit out of you for having a Haswell k cpu and considering it "gaming only"

Don't hate me :(

You definitely don't need an i7, you don't need an h100i unless you plan on overclocking to like 4.5GHz + or so, your motherboard may be a little over kill, unless you really want to SLI I guess...

I know it doesn't hurt to have one but its just like throwing the extra money away an i7 is unnecessary the 800d isn't very well optimised for air cooling so I just wouldn't really recommenced it to me its overpriced so I just thought the r4 would suit the ops needs fine and in a smaller form factor :)

Yeah, I guess I am clutching at straws. But, you know, it's the OP's call. At least I didn't plop in a 3960X and two Titans, eh? And I know the 800D doesn't have the best cooling, but it's absolutely beautiful to look at, and the OP chose it, so he obviously loves it almost as much as I do. And I also love the R4, but again, OP chose an 800D.

Well it fits in your budget so why wouldn't you? More ram or a better CPU won't actually do anything for you in game, but dual graphics cards will. Also PLEASE don't use a 52" TV for this, can we recommend some nice gaming monitors?

this shows how subjective cases are I don't like the 800d at all feature wise and looks I like the phantom feature wise but find it ugly :p

Dual graphics would help, but one fast GPU will always be infinitely better. Quieter, less heat, cheaper. Even Linus has said he would always go with a Single Card.

XD I know, it's why I tend to never choose a different case for someone. A friend of mine said my Define Mini looked like a fridge. On the note of the Phantom though, I used to think it was ugly, but it's grown on me. I prefer how the new Phantom looks though.
