Windows 10 is the best Windows I've ever used. You should upgrade it! It's great.

So privacy isn't a problem really?

Yep.

Just follow these steps.

  • 2 weeks later...

If you're going to upgrade, I'd recommend you do a clean install as soon as you can.

My Windows 8.1 install was pretty broken and the upgrade to Windows 10 only gave me more Blue Screens of Death.

I ended up reverting to 8.1, that didn't fix anything. So I refreshed the install. It's more stable now but it's still a bit broken.

I haven't done a clean install on my existing PC cause I'll be building a whole new one in a few days.

Second the suggestion to do a clean install after doing the upgrade. It will help clear up potential driver issues that can cause BSOD. Just be sure to download a copy of drivers for your system before doing the clean install in case you don't have a working network connection at first boot. Be certain to do the upgrade first though, and make sure it shows as activated before doing the clean install.

Should I upgrade to Windows 10 or no? Currently have 8.1 and am happy, but some people have said 10 is better, gives better performance etc., some have bad experiences.

For gaming is it better, gives more fps maybe? CS:GO is my main game.

In terms of privacy, is it bad?

"Privacy? What is that?" In our day and age privacy is only a myth.

As far a privacy goes, Windows 10, by default, sends anonymous data to someplace that contains your usage information, such as what you use your computer for and what your browsing habits are, it's how Microsoft makes Windows cheaper. Although you can change settings to make it more private if you so desire.

It is actually pretty light-weight, people are reporting that they can successfully boot it on a pentium III and 256megs of RAM.

My procrastination is the bane of my existence.

I make games and stuff in my spare time.
