SSD/Windows question

I'm upgrading to an SSD this Christmas and am I able to just plug in the SSD and install Window 10 like I did on my Hard Drive in the first place. (and use the same code/copy of windows i'm using now?)

Processor i5 4440 Graphics Card GTX 980ti Motherboard MSI B85M-G43 Memory 8GB Storage 1TB HDD Power Supply XFX TS 750W Case Fractal Design Core 1300

I used the windows media creation tool instead of rufus is that fine?

I'd use rufus to be safe. And since it's the same system, all you have to do is reinstall, no product key needed.
