You don't open an .exe with WinRar? .exe are programs or installers typically, but you can put it in a WinRar folder if that is what you mean, by rightclicking the desktop, new, winrar archive and just drag the .exe into the .rar folder.

You can extract .exe files with win rar. I've had to do it when installing display drivers from HP as they insist it isn't compatible when you try the .exe but if you extract it and point windows to the .inf file it happily accepts it  :D  :D  :D

I must have misunderstood something :)

 

If I got it right now, then it should just be right click, extract files and OK a bunch of times, that'll give a folder that is not compressed
