im planning a build right now. probably going to be a christmas build my main goal is to future proof it as much as possible so that i dont have to upgrade for aslong as possible while still getting to play AAA games at high or ultra. this is mainly going to be a gaming rig however if it can handle it i want to stream/ start uploading to youtube. im looking to stay around the 1500$ mark but if necessary i could go up a bit. im just interested in pricing the rig itself and not any monitors or keyboards or anything.

so. i have a rough idea so far. however its a little over budget. ill start with just one monitor but id like to run dual monitors eventually. ( with a possibility of going to 3) i really like the case but  am open to changing it if its still satisfying to look at.

also i priced all the items seperately on amazon myself and i could get everything for around 1400$ but some of it would be used. not sure what you guys would think of this. like i said this will be my first custom build and if thats a bad move lemme know

If you wanted to downgrade to stay in budget I would only add 8 GB of RAM now and add more later if you need it (probably won't for a while though). If you really need to cut more corners you could get a 120 GB SSD instead of 240 GB and maybe a 970 instead of 980. If you did get a 970 you could always SLI another 970 in later to add more performance.

PS: Since you won't be buying the parts for another couple of months (I assume) I would go with a 6700k (Skylake) processor since the motherboard and CPU prices will have dropped to around Haswell/Devil's Canyon prices by then.

Main PC: i5 4590 @ 3.5 GHz ♦ RX 480 Armor OC ♦ 16 GB DDR3 ♦ GA-Z97-HD3 ♦ 120 GB 840 EVO ♦ 120 GB Intel 520 ♦ W10 Home

Scrapyard PC: Xeon X5460 @ 3.8 GHz ♦ HD 7870 ♦ 8 GB DDR2 ♦ GA-P35-DS3L ♦ 80 GB Intel 320 ♦ 160 GB WD Caviar SE ♦ W10 Home

If they do GPU downgrade they should get a 390, it has better performance/$$$ than a 970.

Pro Tip: don't use flash when taking pictures of your build; use a longer exposure instead. Prop up your camera with something (preferably a tripod) if necessary.

if you use retarded/autistic/etc to mean stupid please gtfo

True, just figured I'd stick with Nvidea in case there was a specific reason OP wanted an Nvidea card.

Well for gaming you really don't need 16gbs of RAM, and RAM is an easy upgrade

Otherwise you could go with something like this that includes a 1440p 144hz free-sync panel,  sadly only TN though, for a bit more you could get a 4k IPS free-sync display if you wanted 4k, and overall a Fury card is a bit better for the money, especially if your current display is only 1080p, a 980ti is a bit overkill for that
