Does anyone know where I can pick up a good test bench (case) from a retailer in aus (pccasegaer/umart/etc) i know lian li does one but re there any others for a good price?

You could always use the motherboard's box.

Either this or just make a really basic one with wood or something

I made one myself, you could try something like that, a lot of pre-made test benches are really expensive for whatever reason, especially in Australia.

yeah, but is there any good quality cheap-ish metal ones tat would last me ages?

 

Unlike youd think test benches arent usually very cheap, you could always get a vertical standing mobo case and cut bits off of it.
