Hello.

I have a Win7 key that is used for four pcs. What happens after I upgrade them to Win10 ? Will the pcs get their own personal key or it will be a new Win10 (shared?) key for four pcs ?

I don't think Microsoft allows volume licensed machines to be updated to 10.

IIRC Windows 7 Enterprise can't be updated to Windows 10 if that's what he wants to do

wait WHY

WHY ARE YOU "UPGRADING" TO WINDOWS 10

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

Windows 10 upgrade allows pirated copies to be updated so it might let you do more than one but who knows, btw windows 10 sucks imo at least for now

It was an example of the flexibility of the windows 10 update, as for why it sucks many people post on the forums problems that are coming from windows 10 installs

Do I look like I need jokes? I am asking serious questions...

We can't help you on volume licenses, okay.

Chances are it's probably not allowed to upgrade volume licenses

I have had problems with upgrading some of the pcs to Win10 yes. I admit that it comes with problems... Did you really think there will be no problems with upgrading millions of pcs? But I also have a desktop and a laptop that runs Win10 perfectly and have not had a single problem with them.

Thank you. That looks like an real answer I was looking for. This forum is made for that... I would appreciate if you could give a source link for "not allowed to upgrade volume licenses".

I dont believe volume licenses are included in the free Windows to upgrade offer

volume licensing have the benefit to upgrade to Windows 10 enterprise offerings outside of this offer.

Okey I think you did not understand what I meant. I have bought Win7 Pro (NOT ENTERPRISE) key from an internet store. The key can be activated on four pcs. When I needed to reinstall Win on one of the machines I needed to contact VL service to manually by phone call reactivate a key on that machine (delete old one and activate new one). So they are locked to machine and the key can be activated only four times. I do not know why the key works that way, but all I need to know is that the key have been purchased so it is legal and it is activated and working on all four pcs. My question is if I do an upgrade to the machines do they get their own personal key per machine or do they get an VL Win10 key or something like that? If they get personal key I will be not needed to contact VL services in future to reactivate the key manually right ?
