So while reinstalling windows on a laptop it says windows isnt installed correctly, restart to complete installation. This just loops, anything to fix or is it a gonna.

How are you installing it? Through a disc or some kind of USB storage device? And how many times have you tried re-installing Windows?

I have no idea, its my brother and i have no idea wtf he has done for this to happen, ive done it nearly a hundred times, never seen this crap on his screen but as the pc guy i have to fix it.

I do hope the recovery disc works.

Delete all partitions on the HDD, make sure the boot sector gets wiped too, then try the recovery disks....

Like @super_skank said, just delete all partitions. Make sure the drive is 100% clean before trying to re-install anything.

i just reformated and now the recovery is doing its thing no problem anymore, i wonder how my brother got to reinstalling windows.
