You can do 4.4GHz with stock voltages. The 4790k already reaches 4.4 at single core with turbo boost.

 

About going higher, each chip is a different world. You can start with 1.25v and 4.5GHz, but you might need more voltage or with less is enough.

So if i change clock to 4.4 and turn on turbo boost itll be fine? My idle temp at 4.0 is 28-30

Whenever you overclock, disable turbo boost.

Whenever you overclock, disable turbo boost.

Don;t you wanna leave turbo boost on? That way it'll downclock when It's just idling, so it's not running at full speed...

That is C-States, or I'm confusing myself, I only got 3hrs of sleep. Somebody double check me.
