MSI x79a-gd65 Help

Go to solution Solved by Eddyyz,

Okay finally got my system to be fully functional again.

To any one who has this problem or is trying to "flash" a BIOS that isn't working here are my few cents on how to fix your problems.

First of all, all this information I am going to provide is from what I have read online.
- This M-Flash feature on MSI boards is supposedly very dodgy and many people have said that they have had problems with M-Flashing their board.

- Go to this link (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=160450.0) and download the program there and follow the steps.
- I advice that you run the memtest86 program, it comes with the download and you can prompt to run the software off a bootable USB. It takes roughly an hour and a bit but if you have no error's then you should stand a good chance of flashing your BIOS with success.

- From there on-wards just read everything and all the steps and hopefully you get your mobo to a working order.

Please let me know if you need any help!

BTW Thanks mgsstar for taking the time to help me! Much Appreciated!

Thanks EDDYYZ

Hey guys I cleaned out my pc today and got everything back together again.

I had quite a bit of dust in my machine so I cleaned my GPU with a clean never used paint brush (very softly).

Got everything plugged in again.

When I turn my pc on my monitors don't pick up my gpu (No signal). I read around online and they said it could be my RAM and that I need to take all of them out and put one in at a time, that still didn't work. The only thing is when I cleaned my pc out I didn't take the RAM out the motherboard. So I checked my debug thing on my motherboard and it flashes 19; 67; 32 and then stays on "F2".

Does any one know whats wrong and how I can fix this?

Thanks EDDYYZ

Make sure that your gpu in inserted in fully by checking that you can't see the golden connectors. I would also try a CMOS reset to reset all the bios settings.

Try resetting the CMOS, remove the battery, drain the power by unplugging the power from the PSU and click the power button for about 10 times. Also, try replacing the memory and the video card. If you have onboard, remove the discrete card and try it like this.

CPU: Ryzen 7-3700x 4.4GHz, MB: ASUS PRIME B450M-AGPU: SAPPHIRE RX 590, RAM: 16GB Corsair 3200MHz, SSD: 480GB Kingston HDD: 2TB WD Green, CHASSIS: CoolerMaster HAF 912, PSU: CoolerMaster Thunder 700W, COOLERHyper 212 Black Edition

I would try flashing it in a DOS environment in order to fix the broken one because that is usually the safest way: http://www.msi.com/service/biosupdate/

Hey man.

Yeah I tried this. When I boot from my usb it says "BOOTMGR is missing" then below that it says "Press cntrl+alt+delete to restart".

Do you know by any chance what I am doing wrong?

Did you go into the bios and select the USB to override the boot order instead of setting up the boot priority?

No, I only have setup the priority thing so that the usb comes first, im looking through the menus though and don't see anything to do with overriding the boot order. Do you by any chance know?

Are the usb icons at the Boot Device Priority  clickable? If they are, click on your USB (not the UEFI one of your USB):msi_x79a-gd65-8d_1.png
