How do I go about connecting my fans to the hub? I'm using the ASRock H97M Pro4 mb.

Welcome to the Forums!

What you need is to connect the 4 pin cable to a PWM enabled motherboard header and the 2 pin to molex to the PSU for power. The fans are then connected to the 3 pin outputs with the white connector being the one the RPM is taken from.

So I connect the 4 pin hub to the 4 pin CPU_FAN1 header in the image below?

Wait, doesn't the cpu fan have a 4 pin connector also? where does that connect to if I use the 4 pin for the other fans?

It depends on your board's support of PWM capable headers, if you have other fan headers that support PWM you can connect the hub to that.

I don't think it does

The design of the hub was to allow for software control via the motherboard or BIOS for the fans but if you only have one PWM header and need it for the CPU fan you could just use the existed motherboard headers or a splitter for the fan hub. However it won't at the same speed if your using different case fans.

What do you recommend for splitters? Sorry, it's my first build.

If you still want to use the fan hub and CPU fan something like a 4 pin splitter will work but just make sure the rpm line goes to the CPU fan unless the fan hub requires and RPM line to function:
