Hi guys, i have a Core i3 3220 CPU, 8GB of ram and i want to upgrade to a R9 380 Nitro or R9 390 Nitro

 

wanted to know if my Cpu will be a bottle neck i i put a 380 or a 390 in my system

 

anyway my whole system spec list is listed below so you have the whole parts list

Depending on the game, yes it could, especially the 390, many new games need quad cores to fun properly

 

(not that a bottleneck is inherently bad, you just wont be getting full performance out of the 390)

So if i switched to lets say a Z97-k with an i5 4590 there will be no more bottlenecks in my system?

Correct but you dont need a K motherboard for a locked 4590 i5

oh, okay so whats a good bang for the buck full size ATX MB then and will a 600W power supply be enough to run the system

600W is ample, if its a standard locked i5 a b85 board is all you need, or a H97 board 

 

or you could get a K processor if you want to OC (not much point really) or you could look to get the new skylake CPUs
