I'm trying to build a PC to play all the games that will be coming out soon. It's my first time building so I'm not sure what sort of performance I'll be getting out of this build or how much money I should be spending. Any suggestions for improvement would be appreciated.

Thanks! :D

If you want to video edit, then keep that i7.

Good luck!

Get an EVGA GS Series PSU, RM's are overpriced, as are all Corsair PSU's

The H440 has very restrictive airflow, but otherwise is good quality all around, just not the best design.

Get an R9 390 instead of a 970, it costs the same and has double the VRAM and performs nearly the same otherwise.

You don't need 16gb if you want to save some cash, 8gb is fine.

You don't need an i7 unless you're going to be streaming or doing production often, an i5 would be fine.

Also you will want a 1tb Western Digital Caviar Blue or something else for mass storage.

Should go for a 390 over a 970, but one sec

It's built to take a second 390 down the road, though I haven't updated it recently.

Also, just use linux *wink* *wink*

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Would I be better off getting 980Ti instead? I've found one on amazon for $680
