For my gaming build I am planning on making a 4K capable gaming system. I'm budgeting around £500 for my graphics card/cards but I can't decide to go with.

I was thinking of getting 2X GTX 970's in SLI but the fact they only have 4GB of VRAM (Or 3.5GB of full speed VRAM with a slower 500mb if you want to look at it that way.) I was wondering wether this would stop my grapics setup from reaching it's full potential.

I've also been considering a AMD R9 390X but I could do with some suggestions as to what would be best.

Any advice would be apprecitated.  :)

some benchmarks actually show sli 970s are better than a 980 ti but i would still go with the 980 ti for the vram buffer alone

I would look a 1440p imo I wouldn't anything less than 980TI SLI for 4K so I would probably look a Fury non X or something for 1440p then wait till Pascal or higher Gen for 4k
