I'm going to get myself a new pc by the end of summer and I need some advice . I'd like to know if I should get different components:

CPU: AMD FX-8350 x8 4Ghz (4.2 Turbo) <-  I would also like to know how this Turbo thing works

GPU: Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970 3GB GDDR5 OC <- I'd like to know if the OC edition is worse than the normal one , I saw a review of it not long ago in which the reviewer said that the normal one can be overclocked more

RAM: 16 GB Kingston DDR3 1600Mhz CL9 HyperX Beast XMP

PSU: Corsair VS650 , 650W

HDD: 500GB Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM

Watercooler for CPU: CoolerMaster Seidon 120M

MB: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3

Case: CoolerMaster HAF X

Price of the PC:1478.93 USD

Umm I know some people will say I could get a WAY better pc for 1.5K $ but unfortunately I live in Romania and I pay 24% more for everything I buy.

PS: If anybody thinks I should get other components please make sure it's in the same price range as the one I should change , my buget is 1.5K$ .

  • The turbo works like this: If you stress only 4 core the speed is 4.2GHz if you stress more cores the speed is 4.0GHz

If you can get a non-OC version of the 7970 with the same feature do it. You can easily OC to the same speed.

Get a modular power supply, if it is in your budget

Any particular reason why you chose the HAF X?

i think you should find a way to budget an ssd into the build, becides that it looks pretty good man, you could maybe save a few bucks and just get 8gb of ram if your only using the system for playing games.

PC: Corsair 900D | Corsair AX860 | Maxmius VI Hero | i7 4770k | Corsair H100i | 16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 2133 | Sapphire Radeon 7950 | Samsung 840 Pro 256GB | Win7 X64

HTPC: Silverstone GD05 Black | Corsair VS350W | AMD A6 5400K | AsRock FM2A75-PRO4-M | Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB DDR3 1600 | Samsung 840 128GB | WD Black 4TBx2 | Leadtek Winfast DTV2000DS | LiteOn BD\DVD-RW Combo | WIN7 x64/XBMC

I was thinking of getting an SSD but I don't mind my pc taking more time to load up . Besides SSDs are really expensive here..

Should I get a Sirtec EP-650S?

Ive never even heard of them lol, im not an expert on power supplies but its good to stay with brands with a good reputation with power supplies like corsair

that seems fine to me if it can fit into your budget :)

Can't argue with the looks. I use the same case, but the case design is showing its age. Some of the dust filters are a pain to remove.

hmm, try searching amazon, online/physical retailers where you live for a modular psu (with good user ratings), it just makes your life a whole lot easier XD

HAF XM has no sidewindow , CM Storm Scout looks kinda good ( plus it has fans included :D) , NZXT Phantom 630 isn't available and the Corsair 600T is expensive and has no fans included.

Those are just are just some more modern cases. There is absolutly nothing wrong with the HAF X, I just want to make sure you have looked at all the possibilities.

And I thank you for that , but I have looked at probably more than 50 cases , I even considered buying Antec again (I have an Antec nine hundred atm) but dust builds up fast in them..

Umm I know some people will say I could get a WAY better pc for 1.5K $ but unfortunately I live in Romania and I pay 24% more for everything I buy.

I would say for 10 bucks more you can upgrade to 1tb hdd. Personally i have a western digital blue, it works good for me, and it has better reviews on newegg. Either go with a 1tb barracuda or a 1tb wd blue. 2 500 gigs almost cost double of what 1tb costs.

Thanks for the site and thanks for your other post aswell :) . I'm considering buying it from there :)

Awesome, np mate. I made that build just so you see its cheaper and better, you can make your build yourself. If you need help with prices and comparisons, ask here i can check if prices are right. Since you have 1.5 k budget you can even consider putting in gtx 770 or even 780 if you want and 990 fx board so you can overclock alot.

Post your build here, so we can take a look at it. Its german site, but google translate can translate it ( if you have google chrome ).

Also they charge by VOLUME, so because case is big and heavy, you may consider buying it in your contry ( depending on prices ).

Also check romanian tech forums for hints and stuff that is related to hoh.de. You may find some help there.
