Yesterday, I got a new HyperX cloud headset, and immediatly I noticed a constant very slight crackling, popping noise whenever something is loading. There is no noise when the pc is idle, but when I open a new tab, or do almost anything, the crackling noise returns. This is overshadowed by a larger problem, and that is when I play certain games, there is a constant buzzing noise that makes it unplayable. The noise onIy affects certain games, like GTAV or EU4, but not games like Shovel Knight, or Super Amazing Wagon Adventure.( I haven't tested all my games yet.) don't think the headset is the source of the problem, as when I plugged them into my phone, there was no crackling or buzzing noise. So far I have tried updating realtek drivers, changing pc power source, and basic cleaning of cords, jack etc.

  •     Specs: OS:Windows 10 x64
  •     CPU: intel i5 3570k quad core
  •     GPU: Radeon r9 270x
  •      8 gigs of ram
  •      Sound card: Amd high definition audio device(?)

Thanks in advance, and let me know if I forgot to put something here.

Do you have any devices such as a microphone on the headset or plugged into the computer?

PS: Might want to follow this topic...

Yeah, and are those recording devices set to "monitor"? (so that whatever they pick up is sent to the speakers)

It sounds to me though like a poor quality sound system (card, on board, etc. whatever it is), but it's hard to imagine it being that bad...

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Sorry, I was gone for awhile. other than my new headset, HyperX cloud, I don't have any recording devices plugged in.  Could you elaborate on setting the recording devices to monitor?
