How come?

When playing in 2560x1080p, it basically seems like that it renders 1440p or and then cuts it off and displays it at 1080.

 

Some games this is noticeable. Where you change it, to 1080p, you seem to have more space and can see more above you. When you extend it to 2560, it seems more close up and can't see as much above you.

 

Rendering in 1080p for games creates two black bars on the sides. Which aren't that bad, but can be annoying.

 

Better off getting 1440p or 1080p tbh. The FOV isn't really as beneficial as you think.
