Need New Speakers

Right so currently I have huge speakers on my table to big and taking up to much room there old Hi-Fi speakers.

so I need some smaller one and not to expensive.

id like ones that have the same 2 wire connector audyssey_media_speakers_014.JPG but I can live with out.

They need to have a good shielding so I get no static as well.

But ye cheap desktop speakers is what I need

They're not that big at all. I think the Micca Club 3 speakers are smaller though, and have a proper crossover, so they'll sound a little better too.

What are you basing that statement on?

Well they do have a crossover... But adding a crossover to the MB42s is possible as well. The Club 3s are probably the worst speakers that Micca offers.

I think the best small speakers you can get for cheap is the COVO-S. I liked them more than stock MB42s, but they don't  compete with the MB42X's. I used them without a sub for awhile, but they really do a lot better with a sub doing all of the lower frequency work, they try at least.

Have you got to go with brand new products or would you consider second hand?

(I might be the only kid who used to tell his parents to get stuff second hand if it meant I could go up a "class". Lol)

second hand speakers are fine with me

I listen to a pair of these fed by a Denon PMA-100 amp on my desk at work: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wharfedale-Diamond-7-1-Speaker-X-2-/111801755701?hash=item1a07e76835:g:gKIAAOSwl9BWI6Wy

They're OK. I doubt they'll go for more than £20.00, they might be a bit too big, though.
