Lan box for college

Go to solution Solved by manikyath,

I could simply use my external for mass storage and pick up a bigger ssd for the like 2 games I'll install. :P

hows this?

I'm heading to a 4 year uni in about a year. Don't feel like bringing my main rig so I am putting together a budget small form factor build. :D Please note I have a spare 600w psu just laying around I can use. This is a budget build obliviously and wouldn't replace my main rig at home. I'll be using it as a linux server at my house and bringing it to friend's places to play league and csgo.

Why not use something much smaller like a Node 202 or Silverstone RVZ1?

I have a full sized (atx? idr) psu and I know for a fact that I can fit it in the elite 110. And that is still a pretty small freaking case. :P

i'm gonna recommend against the kingston V300. kingston did some naughty stuff with that.

otherwise.. might not really fit into budget, but would you be able to eliminate the HDD completely? that'd make it a MUCH more transport-proof build.

(depends, i've done some horrible stuff to hard drives that are still fine, its a matter of risking it)
