hey guys, i'm working around with a MTK6582 android device and i'm facing a problem when using fastboot to erase a partition. so the commande i'm using is "fastboot erase recovery" but is stuck at erasing and don't wonna pass. any idea ???

i also tried to erase other partitions like "system/data/cache" but i've got the same problem

I think format should be the correct command. Format in tech terms has more or less the same meaning as erase.

Are you sure android is a valid directory?  I've not known for ROMs to have a partition like that.

 

It usually goes in this order depending on device but Android as a directory I've not seen before.

 

fastboot erase boot

fastboot erase cache

fastboot erase recovery

fastboot erase system

yup i know but believe me it's the system directory

how much time it should take normaly ??

 

I'm not sure, the phones I use don't need to go through fastboot in order to root or to install ROMs, rather they use download mode, yes, Samsungs.

nope the same problem. haha samsung odin, i used it before.

i'm trying to unbrick this device it stuck at the BOOT not bootanimation but the first logo

I'm clueless man. The last time I touched fastboot was 4 years ago with my Xperia arc.

one other question. for this command"fastboot flashing unlock" so i can edit all partition, it stuck just like erasing and format. but when i use SP flash tool it can format and flash all partitons normaly ?
