Urgent help with installation please

Go to solution Solved by Akadis,

Try opening the BIOS by pressing any of the following: F2, F12 or delete (not backspace)

If that doesn't work then go and unscrew your whole build. take out the COin cell battery on your motherboard while your whole build has no power  for at least 30 seconds then wait 10 seconds and then put it back in and retry it.

Otherwise you might have a problem or two:

1. Your CPU might be DOA or just dead (idk if you stepped on it xD or threw it across the room).

2. Your motherboard might be DOA (i'll stop with the joking here).

Go to the place you got your Mobo and the place you got your CPU and tell them it won't boot, they'll probably test it then ask you to either replace it or tell you what is broken and expect you to replace it or not tell you.

Good Luck. I had a similar problem to you when i built mine (except using haswell not skylake) and it turned out something happened to the mobo (idk if me or my friends stepped on it but we knew that a pin was bent).

All it takes is a single bent pin to cause it. Which is why you put pins on CPUs instead of mobos (like AMD!) and not intel.

I am so god damn stupid -.-

Look at my post again! I updated it.

This is what a coin cell battery looks like for reference. All motherboards have it.

LOL, that figures. It's ok to make noobish mistakes. HEY! At least it's not as bad as bending a pin on a mobo!
