So as the title says I'm looking to build a decent rig for as cheap as I can. If you could give me any pointers that would be great. Constructive criticism is welcomed.

This will mainly be for a 6 (son) years old and 13 (brother) years old to decently play Minecraft and LEGO World. I might also over clock it a little to let my other brother play like Battlefield and Battlefront and what not ok at 1080p. My research shows the CPU and GPU should be able to deliver a console like performance.

I'm going for as cheap as I can to obtain that. I'll likely be checking eBay as well to see what I can get cheaper.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I don't think you need a mid-tower case for a Micro ATX. Find a smaller case, save a little bit more money.

They don't get much cheaper and this case is very decent and has good review and looks ok. That's why I chose it but thanks for the advice. I'll take a look.

Well for a bit more, and a bit less RAM, you could fit a 380 in the budget

Also your total seems to have changed, shouldn't it be $390?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Thanks for the input. I'll have to take a look at that.

The price may change as I believe there are several promo codes that are ending. That's okay though because I'm probably not going to purchase anything until around Black Friday to see if I can score some deals.

Not a big fan of the X4 on something intended for lots of usage with Minecraft.  Since Minecraft is limited in how many cores it can use (2 max), the performance of the cores is key.

As it stands the build looks fine for Minecraft and Lego type games.  I'm not sure how well it will scale up to Battlefront/Battlefield with only a Pentium though, going to have to turn down graphics and potential deal with stutters.  I know people where having decent results on i3s in the Battlefront beta, not sure about Pentiums.  I'd go the i3/750Ti route before I'd try to adjust my budget to have room for a 380.
