There are potentially several things that could be wrong with the laptop, and without being able to look at it in person it will be hard to diagnose, so I recommend you take it to someone who can take a look at it.

I don't know, perhaps and perhaps not.  Your question is like asking on Google "A friend I know has a fever, can anyone tell me what kind of sickness she has?"

There's really nothing you can do without looking at it. I would recommend if possible taking the battery out and then opening up and taking the hard drive out. Boot it up to see if it will boot without the hard drive. If it doesn't it most likely is the motherboard, ram or something. If it boots and you can get in the BIOS then it is most likely a bad hard drive or a bad OS install.

Has someone from a shop told you this? If so, have HIM do it - hire him to repair the laptop. That way any problem that messing around it may cause will be his fault and he has an obligation to fix it or give you your money back.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

That might be the best solution

If it's still under warranty, you should be able to get free servicing and repair, take it back to the store where it was bought.
