So I included a link to parts i'm considering for a black and red 1080p gaming/desktop build. I plan to eventually buy another msi 390 and crossfire for triple monitor set up which i know is possible with the 390x and i'm assuming/hoping it'll work for the 390's as well. A lot of the parts i know are not the most efficient and quite frankly a waste of money but why not. I am not 100% sold on this build so please give me feedback on what you think and why. Also, if someone could give me some reassurance with the motherboard and psu. I know the least amount about motherboards so excuse my ignorance but i think they can increase fps, pc efficiency, and what i'm most concerned about, is internet speeds. Is a motherboard capable of increasing internet connection, gaming performance, buffering speeds for streaming, and decrease heat? Also, i am unsure if the motherboard i have selected will be able to fit two 390's as the cards are fairly thick. Lastly, would a single r9 390 be able to run the oculus rift?

I forgot to ask about the power requirements for the r9 390 crossfire as I was unable to find any benchmarks online so I kinda went overkill with the psu.

PS. I can buy windows 7 for this pc and just upgrade to windows 10 for free before July 2016 correct?

Yea link is broken, but also, motherboard has basically no influence on anything. As long as its the right chipset, and can accommodate the amount of video cards you want (once the link works we can help you there), it basically doesn't matter. Motherboards have no effect on performance in any way.

If you are getting a K skew chip you will want a z170 mobo in order to overclock. If you get the mobo you have, you will not be able to overclock as far as I know (I am not up on skylake all that much). So go for a Z170 so you have the ability to OC. If you never plan on OCing, may want to save some money and not get a K chip.

Also I wouldn't get a hybrid harddrive since you have an SSD in there, just get like a 2 TB standard drive, prob cost about the same.

Okay so a z190 or z170 for motherboard. The sshd drive is pointless as I have the ssd already. And the cpu cooler is low key a waste a money. Aside from those things, is everything else on par with being a decent gaming build for current and upcoming games?

Yaaay, after about three weeks of learning about computers and watching hours of youtube reviews and commentaries, I can finally be done with selecting the parts. Last thing is I can buy windows 7 and upgrade to windows 10 for free correct, does anyone know anything about if this build supports oculus, should i wait until December/black Friday to buy these parts or does their price usually stay the same, and will this run star citizen?

I meant z170 not 190, 190 isn't a thing lol.

Also, will it support oculus, yes, it will. Will it be a great experience, I have no idea. Its not really "a thing" 100% yet. But a single 390 has a decent amount of power, and since you plan on another one later, yea, that will run an ocuclus. But the final release version may end up being higher resolution or more hz, so building for a ocuclus may be a "bad" idea.

Star citizen is kinda the same, its pretty intense, but dual 390's shouldn't have an issue.

Buying parts is hard, the longer you wait the closer you are to new shit coming out, which makes you wait longer, and its a never ending cycle lol.
