So hey peeps!

This is going to be my first Gaming PC... Just a disclaimer... IM NOT INTO HARDCORE GaMING.. but would like to play some decent games like assasins creed rouge and some of the last years or games from it tbeggining of the 2015... I wanted to build my pc from the ground up but i realised it would go over my budget of $700 AUSD... but then i came across this pc... its only arround $300 AUS dollars... built by a dude on a ad site... and i thought maybe i should buy this and then upgrade from that foundation... these are the specifications to the PC.

I would deffinately upgrade the VGA card.. because i talked to the dude and he said it was only a Intel HD 2000... and also maybe the powersupply.. what do you guys think.. should i get it?

looks like a scam to me, also not specific enough

Well, with an i7, GTX 1080, Full tower and flashy lights, it can obviously only be for one thing:

Solitaire.

seems sketchy... ask him for a picture of the control panel system option to find out the cpu. intel HD 2000 means it doesnt have any GPU

hate to say it but dont even think of going for this, an ad that vague hints at something horribly fishy to me

thanks man....  will do! ummm i know this is bit stupid but what is a GPU?

its alright, not everyone knows anything. A GPU is just another name for graphics card (or in your case VGA card). yea there is no Graphics card. you will not be able to play ANY game on that thing unless you add a graphics card. may i suggest an r9 380 ( a type of GPU). intel hd 2000 is put on the CPU

if you dont want to purchase a new power supply, a gtx 750 ti would be perfect to put into that PC

ahah im bit of a noob when it comes to this... not that tech savy..

Then learn, that's exactly what I did. Don't rely on others or go into a transaction blind. Do research on every component and build it yourself. You'll know exactly what you have and how to keep it going. Also we have cookies.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

You won't save money by buying pre built, you'll buy cheap parts. Set a budget and ask for advice, research the different parts of the build and what to look for with each. My build took 3 months. I still messed up on a few parts I could have gone another direction on.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

i5 processor

Intel® Core™ i5 Processor

(Cache, 3.20 GHz)

If the rest of the parts are junk, he's worse off then getting a lower CPU. If the power supply catches on fire, and they do, he just lost everything. Getting the best computer your money can buy take patience more than anything, rush in and you're going to have a bad time.

And that doesn't sound any alarm bells? LOL That's why it works. Had a classmate fall for the exact same trap just a week ago.

Set a budget first, then open a topic in the build section. Much better than shady PCs.

Right lol. He'll end up replacing the power supply and adding more ram. All of a sudden its not a 300$ pc its a $500 pc with no gpu..

I'll shotgun some key points.

PSU, Power Supply Unit. I put it first because in a way it is. This dies and you loose everything. DO NOT buy without consulting this forum.

GPU, Graphics Processing Unit. This should cost a little more than the CPU if you want to play games.

CPU, Central Processing Unit. This is the heart of your PC, which you purchase will depend on what you want to do.

MOBO, the mother board. All you want here is something that has the features you want.

Storage, HDD(Mechanical Hard Drive) SSD(Solid State Drive) HDDs are less expensive and work great for storing picture, files, and games. SSDs are more expensive but MUCH faster. You usually want a small SSD for your operating system(Windows) and a larger HDD for storage.

Case, Extremely IMPORTANT. Probably the most overlooked part of a PC. Get the best you can afford and make sure it has up to date features like plenty of fan locations and removable hard drive cages.

There's tons more but thats a quick and dirty breakdown.

If anyone asks you never saw me.
