Hi everyone!

I always wanted to build powerful but compact PC. And for me the issue was that there were almost no cases that would excite me with its looks. Until now.

When googling recently I found this one. I'm so excited and really looking forward to building it. From what I learned it will be compatible with Asus Strix 980ti which is awesome. What I'm still waiting though is more powerful SFX-L power supplies because SFX are known as a bit noisy under load. New SFX-L 700W power supplies are coming this fall according to some sources.

The only thing that bothers me is that they say it's designed for passive cooling. So maybe experienced PC builders who built SFF cases can give me an advice on whether it's actually better to to use blower-style graphics cards for better cooling. Or maybe those vents are good enough?

Thanks

in systems with limited airflow, it is usually better to use blower style graphics cards, to remove the hot air from inside the case. this isn't to say that a open fan style won't work, but it really depends on the airflow pattern unless you are able to install intake and exhaust fans in that area of the chassis.

in that case I'd recommend a blower 980 ti to be safe. . . but

if you get the case first, and have an open designed graphics card of a similar TDP, you could test how effectively it cools in that case, and if it does well, then go for the Strix.
