I'm getting a new desk so I want to get a new power extender (not sure if that' the correct name for them, the splitter for mains)

I live in the UK so obviously need to be the UK mains socket.

I'm looking at this one at the moment but does anyone have anything better/cheaper?

A power extender is a power extender, there isn't much to discern one from the other AFAIK.

That one looks pretty good, and fairly cheap. Surge protection is a big plus IMO.

Guess so, don't really want cheapen out and end up with it breaking instantly or worse blowing up.

Definitely want the Surge protection

Both are good, I can't really advise you on one or the other :)
